Fog is available for workshops as a group or as individual band members. Rhythm, group playing, harmony, melody, improvisation and theory are emphasized. All styles of music are encouraged in the teaching. All three band members have an extensive educating background.

Brian Melvin has taught worldwide in masterclasses-workshops along with individual studies. He has taught at universities, high schools and private institutions. Brian is the author of "Tao of Drumming", available at brianmelvin.com or amazon.com.

Brad Buethe has taken part in the San Francisco Symphony's "Adventures in Music" program that gives educational performances in the San Francisco public schools. He was also a faculty member of the Young Musicians Program at the Univerity of California, Berkeley from 1995 to 2001

Peter Barshay is a faculty member of The Jazzschool (Berkeley, Ca.), JazzCamp West
